A Different Approach, An Awareness Test, and a Truth from a Full-Time Writer

If you’ve been paying attention recently, then you know that things are changing.

We’re sliding into the Holiday Season, and we’re all looking forward to being thankful here in the US for…something.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on TwiX and its recent changes.

I’m considering leaving the platform myself because I don’t feel particularly pleased with Elon using my content to train his AI monster…that and it feels like I’m not really the type of person who is welcome there anymore.

On the flip side, other platforms are watching to see how much he can get away with.

Make no mistake, there’s an air of enablement that’s creeping through the landscape, and this miasma will permeate throughout the internet.

Sorry for the doom and gloom, here’s what I’ve dug up this week:

TwiX Take - an experiment on the age-old question for social media

Medium Missive - test how well you know what fulfills you in 15 minutes

Substack Salient - it’s not just about you, but it’s also not just about your audience

A thought this week: There are about 6 weeks left in the year.

I’m more about focusing on a review of the good, the bad, and the ugly of what happened in 2024, and now’s as good a time as any to start that process.

Also, given that I may pull the trigger on leaving TwiX, I may replace that short form slot with Substack Notes…
