A Little Something Different, an Inconvenient Survival Tendency, and a Terrifying Truth That Our Children Experience...

Also learning to let go

As of today, I just ended my first semester as a bona fide Chinese teacher for eight kids…

We had a Christmas event graciously hosted by a local church where we had lunch and entertainment from all the classes (including mine).

Even though I’ve been in countless performances throughout my life ranging from music to martial arts to theater, I’d never been on the other side of it.

Let’s just say that I appreciate the term “dress rehearsal” much more now.

Having to do it in another language is an entirely different experience as well.

With that in mind, new experiences that produce something are much more fulfilling than just the exposure of it.

While I’m going to continue writing in this atomic format, I’m also going to use Beehiiv as my “Content Hub”. In other words, all the stuff I write from now on will be here as well as other platforms from this point on.

It’s time to focus all my content rather than smearing it all over the internet like butter on toast.

Here’s what I’ve got for you this week:

What I’m mulling over: The more I come out of my shell, but more I realize just how soft and squishy I am…

That being said, I’ve decided to leave X for many reasons beyond the reactionary left vs. right. My consistency is towards action, not loyalty to a platform, and it’s taken me a long time to fully realize this.

Don’t be afraid to leave behind something good to pursue something great.

Don’t allow the opinions of strangers to cause you to question your resolve and what feels right that aligns with your core beliefs.

We all change and grow, but we are rooted in our fundamental values.

Leave a comment if any of this hits (and thanks to one of my wonderful readers for reaching out last week!)
