Something AI Hasn't Grasped Quite Yet, a Juicy Rec For the Bookworm in You, and a Reminder About the Challenges of Parenting

It’s official…I’m a full-time parent for two weeks as the Holiday Season ramps up!

I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to hanging out at home and getting some time to…who am I kidding, I’ll be cooking, cleaning, and chauffeuring every day.

In all seriousness, I hope to get some time in to reflect a bit more and plan out how I’m going to tackle the coming year. I had this chance last year during November, but as plans this year changed to travel, I’ve had no such luck.

That’s something that I’m coming to terms with: this season of life has vastly reduced the available time to do anything with publishing, but my writing consistency has remained strong.

As long as you are showing up and doing the work, it means you’re making progress.

Medium Message - looking forward to reading this book recommended by one of the coolest people I’ve met on this journey

Substack Signaling - one of the toughest things that I know I have to tackle…my kids deserve all the effort that I can muster for this endeavor

Metamorphosis: As I mentioned in a previous post, I’ve decided to use Beehiiv as my main content hub moving forward, but it’s going to take some time to reorganize in my routine. Whatever I share here starting in 2025 is going to be something you’ll get to see before anyone else.

It’s going to take some doing, and I know it won’t be easy, but it’s all part of the plan.

Here’s to the third year of writing and the sixth year of this (at least) decade long process.

Next week will be the last one of these for 2024…at least that’s the plan!
