Adopt the rebirth mindset
9 month arcs, 3 month sprints
After a few weeks of avoiding threads and long-form posts on X, I couldn’t take it anymore.
I took a stand and made a statement.
As I’m writing this, I’ve been on this journey for 9 months now.
That’s the gestation period for a human being.
Here’s an argument for why this may be the best way to set the cadence to develop your skill sets…
I need to stop.
For the past 9 months, I've:
- tried desperately to keep up with coursework
- collected giveaway after giveaway
- hopped on calls and DMsI'm sitting on a mountain of high-quality, kick-ass knowledge composed of Notion/Loom, and PDFs.
Thank you.
Thank you so… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Today begins the next 9-month segment of this journey for me.
Since I’m thinking about this template, I believe that Kieran Drew’s approach would work extremely well for a 9-5 parent creator…
90-day sprints he calls it.
That’s a trimester in a pregnancy.
If I look back at my own process, I can see the parallels in my own writing development.
First trimester: terrified of posting, commenting, DMs
Second trimester: terrified of calls, starting this newsletter, video
Third trimester: terrified of spaces, monetization, building a tribe
At each point in this process, I overcame my fears to the point that they became a part of my daily process.
Last week, I talked about my offer and how I planned to BLiP.
As of today, I’ve made over 150 short videos…
If you have ever tried to make a YouTube channel, they say the first 100 videos are what it takes to get the hang of creating decent quality content.
I believe that more than ever after seeing some of my first videos now.
My point (if I have one for today’s newsletter), is that no matter how much you wish to magically “get good” at something, you have to put in the work to execute.
I’ve accumulated so many giveaways and courses…but I’ve executed on very little of it.
No more.
No more flouncing about
No more shiny object syndrome
No more “just one more giveaway and I’ll be ready”
The next sprint is to focus on absorbing all of the material that I’ve collected and applying it to help you on your journey.
So what’s in it for you? Why would you want to keep reading?
Starting next week, I’ll share updates and offer tidbits of information that will help you get started on making your own content.
The Takeaway
So to recap…
9 months have gone by this year
the next 9 will be divided into three 90-day sprints
this newsletter will center around sharing what I learn in each sprint
Whatever you get out of this, I hope it inspires you to keep going or to take a chance on yourself and start something new.
Here’s this week’s actionable exercise:
Take stock of what you’ve accomplished this year so far.
Can you break it down in to distinct stages and see a pattern for yourself?
Do you think this can be formalized into a schedule that gives better structure for your goals and aspiration?
This is an exercise in framing your goals.
Thought of the week:
An Inspirator knows when to reflect on the past to reframe the future.
I’m beginning to see things very differently in light of recent revelations. My mind mining has struck a rich vein that promises lots of goodies!

P.S. I’m beginning to see the value in letting loose and not trying to fit myself into a framework…templates are great, but only as an instructional device.
P.P.S. Did you know that the “ALT” description for images has a limit of 1000 characters? There’s potential in there for some great Easter eggs!
