Boy it's been a hot week, a reminder of the perks of business ownership, and a dark theory about the state of viral content...
Last call to put in another quarter to keep playing.

Mom turns 70 today.
It’s been a few weeks since my dad’s harrowing brush with Death, and I hope it will be a while yet before he tempts that fate again…
Since that time, I’ve taken action to cut back here and focus more on my health.
I’ve now slept more than I have since starting a family.
I’ve drank more water than I ever did at any point in my life (and visiting the bathroom much more often as a result).
With these two upgrades in my life, my commitment to sharing my journey with you has increased substantially as well.
Here’s what I’ve dug up this week:
BlueSky Bit - beat the heat like this little guy…
Medium Moment - what true freedom looks like in the long run
Substack Sampling - something insightful (and frightening) about AI
Prismatic Progress:
Looks like there’s an opportunity for a hard reset here, because something incredibly humbling was revealed to me about this newsletter this week.
Just about all of my readers rarely finish reading my work.
Or if they do, the CTA’s fly right over their heads.
I get it. Really, I do. I’m guilty of doing the same thing with most of the subscriptions that I have. We just don’t have time in our days to actually read and engage with every single piece that pops up in our inboxes.
So now, I’m left with the conundrum Alice faced in her exchange with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum:
Do I say what I mean, or do I mean what I say?
If I follow through with what I said I would do, that means I’ll only have a few (hey, that rhymes!)
I guess third time’s the charm…
If you haven’t responded already, just respond “yes” if you want to keep receiving my emails.
I’m going to be scrubbing this list tonight.
