Chill out with these two, biting the bullet, and a thought of why we write
Taking stock of where I'm at in this process

It’s become too painful to ignore.
The amount of time that we spend hiding and making excuses for why we can’t do something could be better used actually doing something about it. It’s one of those things that is human nature, and while it protects us from a number of things that would have been threatening and life-ending thousands of years ago, it’s not really helpful in the world we live in now.
More often than not, it causes us to hesitate on pushing our dreams forward. Mine has been hiding behind my writing long enough.
Here’s what I’ve discovered this week:
BlueSky Bit - Sometimes you just need a break…
Medium Moment - Where I’m at in my process (finally)
Substack Sampling - Always keep this in mind if you’re creating and sharing
Prismatic Progress:
I’m taking it step-by-step.
I’m about to reach the 280th published post here, but only a handful of you have been around to see it from the early stages. It’s been a process. I’d say that there’s enough here for a book or two, and I haven’t even begun to consider the nearly 200 articles I’ve written across Medium and Substack.
It’s all been to fire up the engine of thoughts that I have, and I can hold conversations with just about anyone from any walk of life at this point. That’s always been something that I’ve admired in extraverts who so effortlessly move from one social circle to the next.
However, I’ve also noticed that there’s not a whole lot of…depth…to most of the exchanges. Moving through life with a Teflon shell and baby-smooth lines might work for others, but it’s not what I’m about. I want to really connect, to exchange ideas, to solve problems.
Rome wasn’t built in a day. I think I’m approaching day 900 of this process now. If I remember correctly, the 1000th day is sometime next January.
My goal is to have something to show by then.
We keep going.
