I Thought Last Week Seemed Long, a Perspective on a Content Category, and a Reminder About Simplicity
Also a few baby wins and my next series for you

I just gave my first technical presentation in about three years.
The last time was when I was sharing my current work to an executive board for my job.
The time before that, I was in front a panel when applying for a position as a tenure-track professor.
The difference with this one?
It was easy.
I’ve been vlogging for nearly two years at this point.
Speaking your thoughts on a regular basis gets you used to your own voice.
Here’s what I’ve got for you this week.
BlueSky Bit - tell me it doesn’t feel this way for you
Medium Maxim - there is such a thing as too broad and too general
Substack Sampling - when the mud cakes up on this journey, kick the tires
Prismatic Progress:
Something completely unexpected happened on Medium…my first article to reach 50 clappers!
Also, I’ve managed to publish something every single day here for this first month of 2025.
Now that I’ve got this month down (phase 1), phase 2 is to repurpose this month’s writings to Medium and Substack.
To be honest about BlueSky, my presence there is mostly for another purpose now, and I’m not sure how I feel about bringing that to this newsletter.
Politics and current events just don’t fit here. I most likely will need to start another newsletter for myself.
If that happens, I’ll let you know just as an update.
To circle back around I mentioned my vlogging habit to you, and I think it’s something that will enhance your skill set.
I’ll share how I got into the habit and how it can help you as one of my next series.
For now, I’ve earned a little break before flying back home to clean house.
