The rollercoaster towards 2026 begins

I’ve been doing a lot of reading recently.

I may have mentioned it here or there, but it’s definitely what has defined my first 30 days of this final sprint for the year. It’s crazy to realize that we’ve only got a handful of weeks left before we leave 2025 behind.

Given all that has happened in my life, I’d say it’s been a humbling experience this year, but at least the groundwork has been laid.

Here’s what I’ve come across this week:

Prismatic Progress:

I’m thinking these final weeks are going to be more reflective and laying the groundwork for next year as well.

It’s been a pretty good run. I wrote my ass off the first half of the year, and I’ve spent the last half refining my skills and addressing one of my biggest weaknesses that’s been keeping me back. And yeah, I know by any guru’s standards that I’m unbearably slow when it comes to taking action on “building a business”, but there’s more to it than that.

You can’t build something on a squishy foundation, and I’ve been pouring the concrete and letting it set for a few years now.

That’s more than enough time to see lots of other people explode onto the scene, gain a whole bunch of attention, and disappear (some pulling this off multiple times).

I’m not interested in that.

I truly think that awareness of the importance of a digital presence and honing your thinking skills will make a difference in this post-literate, post-truth, post-authentic world. It’s important to share your ideas, your perspectives, and to discern fact from fiction.

To that end, I’m beginning to realize that rebranding isn’t going to be as big a shift as I originally thought.
